Contemporary Clinic® spoke with Brigit VanGraafieland, DNP, CRNP, FAAN, assistant professor and director of the Fuld Program at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, about telehealth visits for pediatric patients.
VanGraafieland said that telehealth has taken off immensely and has become more mainstream in response to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Although the beginning required a lot of onboarding and training for some health care providers, she has seen telehealth being utilized on multiple different levels in her outpatient setting.
VanGraafieland also discussed the health care in the rural and urban setting, screening for adverse childhood experiences in childcare, and the future of telehealth.
