Anaheim Physician Assistant Found Guilty of Battery

A California-based physician’s assistant pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery, and was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 3 years of informal probation, according toThe Orange County Register.
Rocael Gomez, 51, worked at clinics in Anaheim and El Monte, reported theOCRegister. Felony charges of sexual penetration of an unconscious victim and sexual battery involving an unconscious person were dismissed.
Gomez was accused of sexually assaulting a 51-year-old woman at the Anaheim Market Clinic on January 4, 2013, reportedCBS Los Angeles. It was alleged that Gomez used his fingers to assault the woman, and touched her breasts during a medical exam, theOCRegisterreported.
The patient was reportedly at the clinic seeking treatment for pain.
